Your Role With TradeUp
As an educator or counselor, you provide your students with encouragement and direction as they wrestle with questions about their lives. Every young person grapples with the question of what they should do for a career in their future, and while counselors are largely informed about helping youths to think about college degrees and traditional professional career paths, they are less equipped to help that young person consider the possibilities that lie in a trade-related career.
Our goal is to help you, a guide who speaks into your students' lives, be informed about the opportunities, career pathways, and benefits that exist for trade workers. Since you work day-in and day-out with our state's future leaders and laborers, your knowledge about opportunities and options in the construction industry may help a youth to find their career calling in life.
Within this section of the Trade Up site, we encourage you to read our FAQ's, attend training events that we are offering, and take advantage of our informative resources which are all geared to help you counsel your kids about their futures. By knowing about opportunities, employers, and resources that exist within the construction trade industry, you will have a better sense of how to encourage your youths to explore all options as they think about their careers.
